Petrol price hike RM 2.70

The new petrol price was announced by Malaysia Prime Minister, Abdullah Ahmad Badawi on 5th June 2008 evening. What happen on that particular day was a shocking day for every citizen of Malaysia.

The new price of the petrol issue was debate at Parliament at that day too, but what we does not get it is, how come the implementation of the new petrol was immediate announced and implemented even just a couple of hours of discussion?

From RM 1.92 increased to RM 2.70 per litter, it is 41% increment and it is a serious matter. It would be acceptable if RM 0.20 ~ RM 0.40 increment. RM 2.70!!! This is the biggest increment of petrol price in Malaysia history !! It is a large sum for those who possessed larger capacity vehicle when comes to refill the car petrol tank.

All main roads were flooded with motor vehicles as if there were money drop from the sky. One shocking news could change the nation's perspective. Petrol stations were flooded, everyone was desperately to get the last petrol rate before it starts increased to RM 2.70 by 12.01 mid night.

This issues lead to the question, how come we have to pay more while our country is a crude oil exporter. Why? Keep the question until you read more further about the facts.

Now, let us compare the price with OIL PRODUCING countries:

UAE - RM1.19/litre
Eygpt - RM1.03/litre
Bahrain - RM0.87/litre
Qatar - RM0.68/litre
Kuwait - RM0.67/litre
Saudi Arabia - RM0.38/litre
Iran - RM0.35/litre
Nigeria - RM0.32/litre
Turkmenistan - RM0.25/litre
Venezuela - RM0.16/litre
MALAYSIA - RM2.70/litre

By comparing the prices of the nations that produce crude oil. How come the other countries could still maintain their petrol price at low rates while we can't? Is it our local petrol company (PETRONAS) doesn't produce good quality petrol to export to the rest of the world? Does it make sense to increase the petrol price to RM 2.70 per litter even PETRONAS is the largest crude oil exporter? You be the judge.

We can foreseen that there will be massive inflation as it leads to chain reaction where transportation, consumer products, electricity, industrial productivity and many more will eventually increase as well.

Some speculation were made that PETRONAS does not publish their actual financial report to the public. This question we leave it for good for the people(opposition) to figure out whether they really released the report to the public or not.

The Star : 17 June 2008

RM 30 for 11.11 litter ~ RM 2.70 per litter

Scalpers at AEON Bukit Tinggi Klang

It was the day of the first opening of the South East Asia largest AEON shopping center on 24/11/2007. I was there in the early morning around 9am to try buy some toys as my collections.

The crowd already queuing up even before 9am. Most of them were housewife. Time up, door open, all rushes in like nobody's business. I might be the 3rd person to arrive at the toys department. But some people, scalpers of course, already started to scalping toys like Transformers, Star Wars and Hot Wheels. Most of the parents can't even get to see the toys on the shelves, big thanks to those scalpers scalped their little children's dream toys.

Alright, here is the video that I took during that day. Check out the scalper's face they just might be the person who lives next to you. Curse them for scalping.

The First Entry

Hello, welcome to my blog of RANTS of my life. Basically, what is Wa Boh Song means? It means "I am not satisfy" in Chinese (Hokkien dialect).
You can use the term when you are not happy with something and just shout "Wa Boh Song" at public. This might sound crazy but heck, I would not going to do this in public instead I just shout and rant at here. In some places in the world, we can't even voice out rants and it is been prohibited and still are in places where freedom of speech is limited in our society.

So why I rant in here? Simple, to voice out my frustration on certain opinions than other people thoughts. So got the idea? Are you Boh Song now? Get used to it now...
